What is Plantar Fasciitis?

Plantar Fasciitis is an inflammatory disease which affects the foot. This part of the foot is a thick pad of tissue which sits underneath the heel bone, extending towards the toes. This condition can cause extreme heel pain, particularly upon rising after rest or sleep. Common causes of plantar fasciitis include work which involves long periods of standing or weight-bearing, excess body weight, and fallen arches.

People with this foot pain sometimes benefit from the use of plantar fasciitis shoes, or night splints which help stretch the Achilles tendon and ease stress on the foot. There are numerous products to choose from depending on your preference.

The feet have an important role in keeping balance, posture, gait and overall health. You can easily improve your foot flexibility and movement, as well as muscle strength, with plantar fasciitis exercises.  These exercises work on the foot joints and muscles, tendons and ligaments. Though you are not always motivated or energetic, exercise is the basis for your recovery and return to normal life.

The use of comfortable plantar fasciitis shoes and proper plantar fasciitis taping also help alleviate the pain. Refer to the Shoes page for a more detailed description.

trans What is Plantar Fasciitis? There are many different ways to treat plantar fasciitis but what works for one person might not work for another. Different treatment techniques affect people in different ways. Every person has to be dynamic and consistent in their treatment activity. Trying a few different treatment techniques is usually necessary before finding the suitable ones. As progress is made and the pain decreases a new treatment approach should be considered.

As an example of varying treatments, I read an article recently by Greg Hunter who is a Certified Personal Fitness Trainer(CPFT) / Exercise Rehab Specialist(ERS) and a Plantar Fasciitis Survivor.  He mentioned a non-conventional way of conquering Plantar Fasciitis.

He mentioned a few things, but the statements below really caught my attention:

  • You’ll never have to spend thousands of dollars on invasive and painful plantar fasciitis surgery(that only has a 30-60 percent success rate) or spend precious time out of your busy life sitting in a doctor or physical therapist’s office with nothing to show for it.
  • You can complete all 5 plantar fasciitis treatment techniques in less than 5 minutes.

I know that most people do not like surgery so this might be ideal for them.  I also know how busy most of us are.  We can barely get out of the house in the morning with a banana in our hand let alone spend it on long therapy sessions.  So just with those statements I was intrigued and began my research — all the while asking people who have used his product, what their results were.  All of them swear by its effectiveness. Still not impressed, I continued my research.

After reading various sources, asking, and more reading, it seems that Greg Hunter has been through the pain of Plantar Fasciitis. He’s been through the whole cycle of day-to-day suffering.  But with a determined personality, created a great program. Within his program, he shows those who are still suffering how to beat this painful condition.

Go ahead and try Greg’s step-by-step guide on how to cure Plantar Fasciitis, foot pain, and heel pain from home.
